Rebecca Marchand

Rebecca Marchand is a musicologist specializing in contemporary American concert music and served as the President of the New England Chapter of the American Musicological Society from 2012 to 2016. She is Professor of Core Studies at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she teaches topics as varied as concert music and poetry of the Harlem Renaissance, American music during the Cold War, and contemporary graphic scores. In addition to an M.A./Ph.D. in musicology from UC Santa Barbara, Marchand holds a P.S.C. in Performing Arts Administration from Emerson College. She continues to serve the New England Chapter in the capacity of website administrator.
