CHOR saves WU and KO at the place of execution while the FOURTH LORD sends assassins to kill the EMPEROR. YUEN, disguising as the EMPEROR, defeats the enemies. The EMPEROR requests CHOR to help YUEN to succeed the throne and decides to marry CHING to him. CHOR's hesitation disappoints CHING. Guilty-conscious, WU discloses his relation with LING to YUEN while KO requests ABBESS FU MUI to approve their marriage.
